Vigilante 8 Game Cheats for Platform Playstation

Avalanche at the Ski Resort
Shoot down any three trees on one side and an avalanche will occur. This works well when people are by the trees.

Change the Soundtrack
If youd like to listen to something different, replace the Vigilante 8 CD with your favorite music CD after youve started a level.

Machine Gun Trick
If you have an autofire joystick you can increase the damage done with the machine gun. Set R2 to autofire when the button is pressed. This will enable a steady stream of bullets without overheating the gun. Your enemies dont have a chance!

Turbos
To activate this code press up-up-up-machine gun.Costs one homing missle. When you do this a homing missile will latch onto the side of your vehicle and you will travel at the same speed as the missile.

Playing Tip
Choose to be the UFO on the secret base level. Go into the top secret area(the place where all the lasers shoot you.) Start at one end of the big building and drive straight through. If you shoot above the missle launcher a missile comes out and shoots your targeted opponent. You can do this as many times as you want at either end.

Roadkill Mines
To activate this attack press Left, Right, Down, MachineGun. This costs only two mines.

Note: This mine is invisible until you or an opponent gets close enough. These mines hold you for about 10-15 seconds before detonating. You can get away only if you are driving at top speed in one of the three fastest cars.

On the OPTIONS screen, move the cursor to CONTROLLER SELECT then quickly press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Left, Right, Right, X, X, Square, Square, Circle, Circle, Triangle, Triangle.

Special Attack Tip
Having a problem entering special attacks with the analog controller? There is an easy way to solve this problem. Go to options. Go to controller one (or whichever controller you are using). Set the digital pad "up" button to "Accelerate" and set the "down" button to "brake". Now you can steer with the analog and enter most of the special atacks with the digital pad!

Whirling Blades at Farm
When you go to the farm level, shoot at the big windmill towers. When they fall, the blades will pop off and chase the nearest car.

Ski Lift, Blimp and Bomber secrets
On the ski level go to the bottom of the hill and enter the lodge doors, your car will get onto the lift and it will take you to the top of the mountain. This works the other way as well.

In the Las Vegas level you can find the blimp flying over, watch where it lands then enter the door that opens. It will take off and allow you to fly it over the city, get over a building and wait until it drops you on the roof.

In the airplane graveyard you can drive your car between the flight tower and electric polls. The flight towers are located at each corner of the level, they are the towers with the flag on the roof. This will cause the B-52 bombers to come out and bomb your opponents.

In the farm level you can shoot the valves beside the water canal, then a huge wave will go through the canal damaging any car trapped in the canal.

In the secret military level you can shoot the ladders beside the stealth bombers, then go over to where the satelitte dishes are located and drive by the red and green lights to make the bombers hit your opponet.

On the hover dam level you can hit the switch in front og the dam by the water to make an electric burst of energy go through the water zapping your opponent.

In the Canyonland level, get in the middle of the circle of rocks. A gold beam will come down and teleport you elsewhere.

On the level Sand Factory at one of the load things that a truck would pull in to load sand in the back of it you can shoot at one of the poles with the machine gun only once. An elevator will lower and you can get on it. This is an easy way to get on the upper levels. Search around for the loader!

On the snow resort level shoot 3 large trees to cause an avalanche! Boulders will start to roll down the slopes!

Launch missle at Area 51
Start a game on the Area 51 level. Go through the gate(past the lasers) to the building. Drive "through" one side of the building. When you come out the other side, drive around the square and go under the two lights(one should already be green from driving through the building)Driving under the lights will turn the 2nd light green and the missle will launch at the enemy you have targeted

Bruiser Cannon (Cow Puncher)
Cost: 2 shells
Press Down, Up, Down. Then shoot the machine gun to knock opponents vehicle backward.

Bruiser Cannon (Scatter Blast)
Cost: 6 shells
Press Down, Up (x2). Then shoot the machine gun to discharge 6 cannon shells simultaneously.

Bullss Eye Rockets (Stampede)
Cost: 1 ¿ 5 rockets
Press Up, Down, Up. Then the shoot machine gun to discharge up to five unguided missiles.

Interceptor Missiles (Halo Decay)
Cost: 2 missiles
Press Up (x2), Down. Then the shoot machine gun to cause your opponents homing missiles (or special attacks) to lock on to your missiles instead of your vehicle.

Interceptor Missiles (Turbo)

Pilot a Blimp
In the Casino City, youll see a blimp flying around. Wait for it to land and when the back hatch opens, drive in. It closes and takes off. You can steer it, but cant go up and down. If youre flying over a building with cool power-ups, push Accelerate and you fall out. Watch out because if one of you opponents has heat-seekers or something and they shoot it, it will hit the blimp and the blimp will explode and you dont get it back.

To unlock the Secret Base, beat Quest Mode with Dave and Molo.

Use the Six Cannon:

To use the Six Cannon in battle or anywhere else, you must have an almost entire bar of VFX (plus the four to five mini-bars). Then, hold Z until it gets to the last two VFX. A cannon will appear and shoot a large beam with the switched character in it. This works well against Bosses.
Silvia attacks:

Switch to Silvia, then do Slo mo and Replay followed by Close up. Then, punch the enemy for three times the damage.
Whenever playing as Silvia transformed, double jump into the air and rapidly press Punch. She will slowly fall to the ground while firing her gun. This is useful when facing multiple enemies.
Get the Blue Cool Kick power up. Then while in battle, use Blue Cool Kick (while in the air, hold Down, and Kick). She will use a diagonal kick, then use Slo-mo, Replay, and Zoom in. This will do a lot of damage. Note: This works well against Bosses.
Reel select:

Successfully complete the game to unlock the Reel select option for that and lower difficulty settings.
V-Rated mode:

Successfully complete the game in Adult mode.
Ultra V-Rated mode:

Successfully complete the game in V-Rated mode.
Fight Ms. Bloody Rachel:

Ms. Bloody Rachel is your big replay against the bosses Big John, Flinty Stone, Camoleon, and Frost Tiger (in that order). There is no big change in their attacks, but their patterns are slightly different and HP is much higher. They are also yellow now.
Fire Leo and Frost Tiger:

Not only are Fire Leo (one of the Bosses from the original Viewtiful Joe) and Frost Tiger brothers and look alike, but they fight exactly the same except that Fire Leo goes in lava to get his aura back, while Frost Tiger grows his aura.
Reel 4: Lighting torches:

In Reel 4, there are three torch stands that need to be lit towards the end of Scene 1. To do this, you must flare up as Joe using Mach Speed then switch to Sylvia. By switching, you will transfer the fire to Sylvia. Activate Replay and attack with something that will activate the Replay action. There is another set of six not too far from there. You must flare up as Joe, switch, and Replay/Zoom/Spin Kick to light them.
Slo Mo saves:

Use Slo Mo when enemies are about to attack you.

When you do tournament or mission and can buy a Rev Raptor (sell the twp weak ones), use the two pointy things at all times. You can use it unlimited times and it does good damage. It is possible to defeat a Fuzor Dragon without getting hurt by doing this.

Easy Escape

When you are cornered or cannot outrun a Zoid, just use a Speed Booster. Another thing you can use is a shield. If you use one, speed on a Rev Raptor is recommended. You will have a very strong Zoid that can defeat lots of opponents easily.

Cargo Mission

On the mission where you have to protect the cargo, use the Cannon Tortoise's 8 Shell launcher for maximum destruction. Use it at long range.

Counter Attacking a Lightning Saix

When using a shadow wolf or maybe any other zoid. When the saix is locked onto you run straight at him. And when he uses his lunging claw attack. Dodge left or right and use your lunging attack. This is a good way to counter attack.

What to do with the UX core in All stars world

Note before doing cheat:To make sure this cheat goes well you have to have the Liger Zero data and enough money to buy it.

After you defeat the Berserk furher, in All stars world, DON'T GO INTO INTO ALL STARS TOWN, I REPEAT DON'T GO INTO ALL STARS TOWN. Instead go to the silver orb and teleport yourself back to Aracadia. Go to the Zoid Construction shop, then buy the Liger Zero. Go back to All stars time and when you go into town, Burahado will say that she is taking the UX core and Fran. She takes them and you know that you still have the Liger Zero. So pretty much she took nothing, but the game has to make her take it!

Hero's Hall

Sometimes a Hero's Hall must be built in certain places. For example, Thesues' Hall needs to be built by the palace, surrounded by walls and have good appeal. On maps where space is at a premium this can be difficult to accomplish. To get around this, after you have filled the requirements to summon the hero, and while the hero is on his/her way to the city, you can demolish the hall and any of the structures you had to build to meet the requirements. Then, rebuild the hall anywhere that is connected to a road. The hero will not care and will serve your city as usual.
